Environmental Policy

We build innovative tools to help our customers move their fleets to lower-carbon options quicker, based on the real journeys their people take. Our business is to help our clients make these decisions.

We recognise that we have a direct (Scope 1) and indirect (Scope 2 and 3) impact on the environment as a business, and aim to be carbon positive in our impact on the natural environment.

Carbon positive means that we put more oxygen production back into the system than the CO₂ that we emit.

We commit to measure and manage the following elements of our business:

• Where possible, TDS uses suppliers like AWS who are currently using 100% renewable energy to host our technology. This means zero or negligible CO₂e from TDS services based on where we currently process and host data.
• Our company cars provided by TDS for employees on business are all electric.
• Business travel is limited and we try to work with clients via videoconference for most of the time.
• We publish a yearly CO₂ emitted number that includes emissions from our office, business travel and Amazon AWS technology (used to run our systems), so that our customers can see our performance.
• We double offset these emissions every year via the South Downs National Park Tree Planting Service, which is close to our Sussex-based offices.

Our biggest impact as a business is to help major companies and their fleets to use less natural resources. We do this in balance with keeping our own house in order.
